Security Checklist

Security Checklist

Hi guys,

here are a few things you should do now, just to make sure, I already suspect I know what happened, but for now I will not uncover the details, for now just make sure you do the following:

  1. change your admin password
  2. make sure you do NOT use the same password for update and admin
  3. for higher security:
    • log out of the template
    • update the header with the one posted in previous post and do not use the Remember me feature
  4. make a full backup of your template folder – just in case… this would solve the problem and make sure you do this periodically, eg. every week make a new backup. Also, use the db backup feature in the control panel, just copying the files via FTP will not backup the MySQL db

As far as I can see right now, this hopefully is not a general issue, I have also made some changes on my site, my site is ok and it was more or less just precautious measures.
