Status of Meteotemplate

Post by nineback » Wed Nov 19, 2025 11:35 am

I'm just curious. Did Jachym stop developing Meteotemplate? I haven't seen posts from him in a while. I see where several others are maintaining the template by fixing issues as they arise.

Have had contact with Jachym some months ago.
He said, he is heavily involved at work and family and MT is currently suffering from his leck of time.
Actually he did not say he is stopping this project, but he cant spend the time which is necessary. :?

This was one of the best weather templates out there
I wish someone with way more ability's then me would take it over
Even if we had to purchase the license to get it back to the way it was

I agree. I've tried tweaking a few modules to get them working in current environments, but I'm an amateur and its also hard (for me with limited skills) to reverse engineer how the whole template integrates Core, Blocks and Plugins.

Does anyone know or have the time to transfer it to GitHub or similar to get a community development running to maintain and develop MeteoTemplate?

Cheers
...Steve

I agree

Jachym Would have to chime in on doing something like that and then hopefully some php programmers would snatch it up.
I think Jachym started this project back in 2014
My Cranberry version runs pretty well with php 8.3 thanks to David but does have some errors and a little glitchy
It would be a shame for a template as good and flexable as Meteotemplate to just go away

Hoy esta caída la pagina de meteotemplate, no se si es algo temporal o definitivamente ya no la volveremos a ver.

The site is currently online, so my guess it was just a tempary outage.
