The text says “the lower 48 states”. That brings me to the question “how many higher states does the USA have?”
Hi Luc,
this is how you normally label the contiguous U.S. – ie. without Alaska. The map also does not show a few others, I think Hawaii and two more. Higher state would be Alaska 🙂
