New Plugin – Solar

New Plugin – Solar

Hi guys,

this new plugin is related to solar radiation and sun shine duration. I will probably add more pages later, for now there is a page which shows the average estimated sunshine duration for each day of the year. This value is a station average calculated for each day from all years.

The value is shown in a graph as well as table, where you can also see the percentage of estimated sunshine from the possible maximum.

Don´t forget to update your menu otherwise it will not work if you just add it in the Menu setup.

The DEMO is more or less useless because I do not have a solar sensor and therefore there is nothing to show. This also means I had never actually seen it working, only did some very basic testing with some limited dummy data so if you see any issues let me know.

DEMO

Enjoy

  1. Very nice. I think it would be clearer to merge this page with “annualSolarMax.php”. It would lessen duplicate data. It’s getting more and more difficult to know where is which data.
    Best,

    • The problem is that the annual solar max is default page of the template and so if I wanted to add this page you would have to wait a few months. I am not releasing a new version of the template anytime soon.

One other thing – the reason was also that this plugin only really makes sense for someone with a solar sensor. If you don´t have one, this one is useless. However the annual solar max works for everyone and so I included it in the main template. This was the main difference and reason.
